AC Consult, a specialized initiative under AmaCares, was officially launched on Saturday, December 21, at the Sunlodge Hotel. This marks a critical expansion of AmaCares’ mission to combat sexual abuse, particularly among vulnerable populations, by addressing the often-overlooked mental health challenges faced by survivors.
The launch underscores AmaCares’ commitment to a holistic approach in its fight against sexual abuse, recognizing the significant psychological toll it takes on survivors. AC Consult is dedicated to providing tailored mental health services, including trauma counseling, psychiatric care, and medical support, to empower individuals to rebuild their lives.

The initiative aims to support 1,000 survivors of sexual abuse and other vulnerable individuals by offering services such as stress and anger management, substance use counseling, and diagnostic assessments. By addressing the deep-seated effects of abuse, AC Consult complements AmaCares’ existing educational workshops and community outreach programs.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Benedicta Ama Batcho, Founder of AmaCares, reiterated the importance of prioritizing mental health in the fight against sexual abuse. “Healing goes beyond physical well-being. Mental health care is a crucial part of empowering survivors and breaking the cycle of abuse,” she stated.
The launch of AC Consult not only highlights the organization’s dedication to improving mental health outcomes but also reinforces its long-standing mission to educate, protect, and support those affected by sexual abuse.
Through AC Consult, AmaCares takes another significant step forward in creating a safer, healthier, and more compassionate world for all.
